What We Do
The Aeronautics, Military and Defense, Commercial Aviation, and Electric Vehicle industries are on the cutting edge of innovation and development. Contractors in these industries need suppliers that can work in parallel with them as they venture from prototype to mass production. As a leading CNC production manufacturer, PV’s center of excellence is supplying mission critical component parts with extremely tight tolerances. What distinguishes PV is not the CNC machines we use but rather the talented machinist that run our CNC machines layered into a strategic approach that produces products on spec, on time and on budget.
When customers need a partner to work in parallel with them, they venture to PV.
Why it Matters
We enable market disrupting technologies by machining the parts that make it work. The world is changing quickly. To stay on top of it you need to align with a partner that can change with it. PV’s end market experience provides valuable line-of-sights for its customers throughout the entire manufacturing process. We provide superior CNC milling, CNC turning, and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) services to the worlds biggest tier 1 manufacturers.
Unlike most CNC machining businesses, PV is razor focused on four specific industries – Aeronautics, Military & Defense, Commercial Aviation, and Electric Vehicles. Our focus stems from the Process we follow on every project or job we encounter.
Process We Follow
PV redesigns what’s possible in CNC precision machining by using advanced manufacturing, leading edge technology, and industry specialization matched by our highly trained machinists. Our Process is simple yet effective in keeping us focused on every project encounter.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining is a manufacturing process in which pre-programmed computer software, typically CAD/CAM files, dictates the movement of our vertical milling machines and lathes as well as the machine tools they hold. The process can be used to control a range of complex machinery, from grinders and lathes to mills and CNC routers. With CNC machining, three-dimensional cutting tasks can be accomplished in a single set of commands.
Our smart technology and skilled machinist ensure that the parts we make come off the machine ready to assemble with little to no secondary work. For a complete list of our equipment and technical specifications please refer to the TECHNICAL tab.
Center of Excellence – Missiles and Rockets
The main difference between missiles and rockets is that missiles have a guidance system to assist them in meeting their designated target. Rockets, however, do not have a guidance system and are simply launched in the direction of the primary target.
PV’s center of excellence in CNC machining is machining critical parts for missiles and rockets. PV’s sophisticated use of CNC Milling, CNC Lathe, and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) delivers machined parts within the tightest tolerances demanded whether it be for a missile or rocket. Of the hundreds of CNC machined parts that go into making a missile or rocket, PV is consistently called upon by leading defense contractors to manufacture the following parts:
◎ Machined Enclosure Cover
◎ Spacer Assembly
◎ Ring Spacer
◎ Cross Shaft
